As a result of electric de-regulation in Illinois, the Village of Riverwoods established an electric aggregation program that enables the Village to aggregate the load of all consumers within Village of Riverwoods in order to negotiate a discount on electricity rates.
After a thorough bid process, the Village of Riverwoods has selected Nordic Energy Services, LLC as the new supplier for contract term August 2024-August 2026. Nordic Energy Services, LLC is an independently owned, Chicago-based, Alternative Retail Electric Supplier (ARES) and Alternative Gas Supplier (AGS). Nordic supplies energy and provides related services to commercial and residential customers behind 66 utilities in Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode Island Virginia and Washington D.C.
Opt-out/opt-in letters were mailed to Riverwoods residents on or around June 18, 2024. Copies of the letters are attached for your reference.
