Vernon Township Fresh Fruits and Vegetables for the Food Pantry

Vernon Township is seeking volunteers to help maintain its Food Pantry garden this summer.

Tasks will include weeding, watering, and harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables - all of which directly support local families in need.

Residents planting their own gardens this spring are encouraged to grow a little extra to donate. The Food Pantry always welcomes fresh produce donations to ensure healthy options for its clients.

To volunteer or learn more, Nancy [at] vernontownship.com (email Nancy), call (847)634-4600, or visit the food pantry webpage.

West Deerfield Township Food Pantry

The food pantry assists fellow Township residents in need — temporarily and long term — by providing monthly, free of charge, basic foodstuffs, household/cleaning items and personal hygiene products.

Approximately 360 Township residents benefit monthly, and each receives a grocery gift card to help purchase fresh/frozen food and personal items as funds are available.
