Native Tree & Shrub Planting Program Cost-Share Program Application

Residents can improve the ecological health of their property by planting native trees and shrubs appropriate for the ecological setting.

Residents interested in the Native Tree & Shrub Planting Cost-Share Program will need to:

Set up an Ecological Consultation through the Village and pay a $75.00 consultation fee. The Village ecologist will determine the property's eligibility for the Cost-Share program. Click here for the Ecological Consultation Cost-Share Program Application.
If approval is given by the Village Ecologist, the resident must then apply for a permit from the Village of Riverwoods and pay a $100.00 application fee before starting any work. Please find the Native Tree & Shrub Planting Program online application form below.

Fees can be paid by:

Credit card in person or over the phone at 847-945-3990 (a 3% service charge will be applied for all credit card payments) or
Check written out to the "Village of Riverwoods" and dropped off or mailed to Village Hall at 300 Portwine Rd., Riverwoods.
