Stormwater Drainage Study - Deadline Approaching

The recent rain events have resulted in significant amounts of standing water, which may take several days to drain.  If you haven't filled out the Stormwater Drainage Survey, this week presents an excellent opportunity to observe and document any drainage issues observed on your property or adjacent lots. 

Over the years, there have been numerous drainage and flooding concerns from both Village residents and Village officials, that have occurred throughout the Village of Riverwoods. To address these concerns, the Village of Riverwoods has contracted with Gewalt Hamilton Associates to perform a Village-wide Stormwater Study.

The goal of the Stormwater Study is to provide guidance to the Village while focusing on strategic methods to improve drainage and mitigate flooding in key areas of the village.  To perform a fruitful study of the existing Stormwater conditions within the Village, we are counting on the feedback of residents in specific locations of the Village that are within the Flood Hazard Zones, adjacent to a Flood Hazard Zone or in an area of potentially poor drainage capabilities.
