Honoring Retiring Trustee Michael A. Haber

Trustee Haber has served the Village for over 30 years, and May 2 will be his last official Board meeting. The Trustees honored Mr. Haber at the April 18 meeting noting that his service spanned over half the lifetime of the Village – a feat that is unlikely to be matched in our history.

During his tenure notable events included Meadowlake being developed as was Thorngate, Arts & Riverwoods flourished and sadly ended, Clean Up Day started as did the RPC, our Police Department was founded and got its own building, and Village Hall kept adding-on until it was finally rebuilt.

The Village thanks you for your volunteer service to our Village. Your independent voice will be missed. But we ask that you do not go missing.

Congratulations and Best Wishes for a long, healthy retirement!
